When settling in USA, medical insurance is strongly advised. Emergency cases are the only ones that can be treated without this insurance. The purpose of health insurance is to provide help to pay for care. Usually, health insurance can be provided by your employer, this being referred to as group insurance.

Many US citizens get health insurance through government programs that operate at the national, State, and local levels. Examples include Medicare, Medicaid, and programs run by the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense. Many also choose to get an individual health insurance from one of the many insurance companies.

For an emergency, call 911 and request an ambulance to take you to a hospital. In most cases, you will be first treated, and then billed for the treatment. You will be expected to pay before you leave. If you are not in an emergency but seek medical help, it is advised to call the hospital and get an appointment scheduled.

For your children, they are many types of childcare in the United States. You can choose from home child care, institutional child care (the provider of this is a business) or corporate child care.
